Sunday, September 19, 2021

Good afternoon NCPS Families,

In an effort to keep our families informed of COVID-19 cases, beginning Monday, September 20, 2021 we will publish all new positive COVID-19 cases by school/location each day. The information will be posted on our #NCPSsafe COVID-19 Dashboard by 5:00pm each day.  You may access the dashboard from the district and parent websites by clicking the weekly updated COVID totals image at the top of the webpage https:www.ncpschools.net/ncpssafe/

Please know that school nurses are involved daily in our contact tracing process.  Our priority is the health and safety of our school community. Staff and students who, through the contact tracing process, are determined to be at a high risk of exposure will continue to be contacted directly and provided guidance.

We are working with our partners at the Nash and Edgecombe County Health Departments daily to monitor COVID metrics.  If through this collaboration it is determined that a school/location has to report a COVID Cluster or that a classroom must shift temporarily to remote learning, principals at the impacted schools will continue to reach out directly to their families to share the situation and provide guidance.

We will continue to enforce the wearing of masks, and distancing as much as possible. If you have further questions, please contact your principal or contact the communication department at 459-2858. Please know that Nash County Public Schools is committed to providing as transparent reporting as possible while still protecting confidentiality and ensuring the safety of our staff and students.
